Fall is upon us and the crisp, cool air welcomes the gold, burgundy, red, and orange leaves that encompass the magic of autumn. It's the perfect time of year to hop in the car, solo or with the fam, and head up the pass for a breathtaking drive. Visit Colorado Springs highlights the Top 5 Scenic Routes near Colorado Springs to enjoy a relaxing drive and take it all in. The Pikes Peak Highway is in our own backyard!

Pumpkin patches are another fall must. Our favorite is The Happy Apple Farm, about 30 minutes South of Colorado Springs on Highway 115. Open Thursday - Sunday from 9AM - 4:30PM, they offer not only pumpkin picking, but also apples, pears, and even fresh-pressed Apple Cider. While you're there, enjoy a FREE HAY RIDE! They offer fun for the entire family here, and the best part, NO ADMISSION! And don't bother packing a lunch! On the weekends, they serve applewood smoked brisket or pulled pork along with hot dogs for the kiddos. They even offer a variety of sweets: Apple Pie, Apple Cider Donuts, Blackberry Cobbler, and plenty of other goodies in the Italian Deli. Along with your hand-picked pumpkin, don't leave here without a jar of their infamous jam and apple butter. Located at 1190 1st Street, Penrose CO, 812240. Don't be surprised if the whole family is begging to go back next Fall
