So March has come and gone, and inventory in El Paso County is not improving, not even a little. Buyers are showing plenty of battle-weariness, and some are already throwing in the towel, after losing far too many offers to others! There isn't a forecast for inventory to improve either, so for the meantime, buckle up and fight your best fight if you're a buyer. The good news (yes, there is some) is that as interest rates continue to rise, some buyers will have to drop out, or change their targets. Of course, that's good news for the buyers who can remain. Sellers are still in a fantastic position to realize maximum gains, and selling sooner rather than later will lock in those gains before the buyer pool suddenly shifts, and gains some power.
